Six Techniques

Let’s get you started!

This is Tricia Legg’s beginner class from which you will produce 2 A3 samples as your future reference pieces. Each sample will have a unique background with a different technique for the foreground. You will start each sample with the same photograph you have taken. You will be shown how to simplify that photo on A3 paper so it is suitable for fabric art .As you create both your own designs you will learn applique, fabric dying, free motion machining, quilting, fabric painting, piercing with paper,

Six techniques is all about you and your tutor Tricia Legg. This is an interactive, course with six LIVE sessions using zoom over 6 weeks so you have plenty of time to work through each stage. They are recorded so you are able to review the lessons and look at them over and over. You will receive one-on-one evaluation during each step and your question will be answered. If you can not keep up the pace, each lesson will be recorded so you can work around your other commitments.

We work in New Zealand dollars. The usual price for the workshop is $NZ199 (approximately $US115, €98, £86) If you register before March 1st the price is $NZ 179. Participant numbers are strictly limited.

You will need 1 A3 piece of calico, fabric scraps, a sewing machine that can do free motion sewing, all the normal sewing accessories such as thread etc, applique double sided glue sheet such as ‘Stem A Seam’ ( it will be explained) 2 small tubes of fabric paint, and or a tiny about of fabric dye.
