Your Art Plus An Unused Vest
Black vests! Ideal for Spring and Autumn but why do they have to be so plain? I had one in my wardrobe from my corporate days as owner/editor of floral design magazine and it was just waiting to be reinvented. 2024 was the year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar. I was born in the year of the dragon (not 2024!) so my mission was to embellish my old vest to celebrate being a dragon.
So that’s why I am here. I’m Tricia Legg, your tutor and I will help you to do the same, not with a dragon design but one that is truly unique to you. Yours may be showcasing your art, your hobby, your garden but whatever you choose I will be with you every step of the way as you work your way through the techniques you need.
This online class starts 18th April 2027
Six techniques is all about you and your tutor Tricia Legg. This is an interactive, course with six LIVE sessions using zoom over 6 weeks so you have plenty of time to work through each stage. They are recorded so you are able to review the lessons and look at them over and over. You will receive one-on-one evaluation during each step and your question will be answered. If you can not keep up the pace, each lesson will be recorded so you can work around your other commitments.
We work in New Zealand dollars. The usual price for the workshop is $NZ199 (approximately $US115, €98, £86) If you register before January 1st 2027 the price is $NZ 189. Participant numbers are strictly limited.
You will need A plain unlined vest or coat, if it has a small logo it will be hidden, cotton fabric, the amount of which will be determined by your unique design, sewing machine that can do free motion embroidery, usual sewing kit and double sided, heat activated, fusible web such as ‘Steam a Seam’ or similar designed for applique work.
